Learning styles

Today, we learned our learning sytles. I learn that I am kinesthetic learner. This is something that I aready knew. It is also something that I agree with. These are the reasons why.

I agree with it because this is how I really learn. A kinesthetic learner means that you are a hands on learner. That means that you learn better doing it yourself. In other words, it is the way that I learn best. I like this way of learning way better than reading and writing reports, and listening to speeches!

Another thing that we did today was went to this music site. At this music site, you learn about artists songs. THis website did not have anything about my favorite artist, which is Lil Wayne. I did like at a couple of artists like Jay-Z, and Nas. I learned that Jay-Z and Nas likes other people's songs alot, if you know what I mean!!

My past week at Lead The Way

My Past week at Lead The Way was kind of boring. We really did not do much this week. A couple of things that we did were kind of exciting. The rest of the stuff was kind of boring. I am happy that we get paid today.

During this week, we are still working on our group projects. I believe that our group will win this assignment. We have something that nobody has ever though of. We also learned that we are doing this assignment for 100 dollars. That really makes me feel alot better.

Also, Mr.Jacobs came again yesterday. He helped us put sound in our project. That is another reason why I think that we will win this project. So this week was not that exciting, but I am not mad. We get paid today!

My Past Weekend

My past weekend was real fun. On Friday, Me and a few other people with to the Rib Fest. I had a real fun time downtown. The people I was with and I were clowning the whole time down there. We did not get into any fights or anything.

On Saturday, I went to a birthday/ graduation party. It was my cuzzin Quaill party. I had alot of fun there too. Everybody there was clowning. Also, he is a very good singer so he was singing at the party. He also had a few other people singing and rapping at the party.

Yesterday, I went to a little kid's birthday party at Childrens Park. I played basketball with my brother and step-brother. I won both games of 21. There was also this very funny dude at the park. He was walking around with a mic in his hand thinking he was 50 Cent. He had me laughing the whole time that I was there!!

My past week at the program has been good. I have been tired from football practice, but my week has still been good. Today, we did not really do much. We did math in the morning, and then our group stuff at the end of the day. It was still an alrght day today.

Yesterday, Mr.Jacobs came with another lady on showed us more devices. The lady that he came with was blind. She had a device for blind people. It was very interesting. It was interresting, but way too inspensive for most people to buy!

My First Paycheck

This is my first pay check. I am real happy that I am getting paid. I have alot of things that I have to do with my money. I am going to try to spend my money right though. I am not just going to go spend it on anything.

The first thing that I am going to buy is some football cleths. I need practice and ame cleths. I also need socks, underarmor, visor, and some ankle braces. I also need some money for the camps that we are going to. None of these things are cheap, so I need to budget my mony right.

Some others things that I plan to buy with my checks in the future is things like clothes and shoes. I want to get the red, black, and white forces that just came out. Also, I want a couple of jean sorts, and basketball shorts. I also need money for clothes and shoes to go back to school with!

My past weekend was okay. On Friday, my sister had a late graduation party. So, I went to that, and had fun. On Saturday, and Sunday, I did not do anything because I was sick. I was mad that I could not do anything.

On Monday, It was kind of a boring day. On Mondays, we have to do reading. So, I we did was worksheets about simple reading stuff. Also, we were looking at the insides of computers. I learn alot of things about computers on Mondays.

Yesterday was a fun day to me. It was fun because we did not just do boring work all day. We had a group assingment. We had to try to bulid the biggest marshmellow tower. My team did not win because we had a bunch of dudes that did NO work.

My past week at Lead The Way

My past week at Lead The Way has been alright. I was not here 1 day of this week because I was out of town. I went to Atlanta, Georgia with my dad for a family reunion. Also, we did not have any work on Wednesday because of the Fourth of July.

On Tuesday this past week, we did stuff about our future. We look on the Internet for a car and house that we would want. I want a Chrysler 300, all black. Also, I want big house in the suburbs, but not real far out. Also, we look at how much money we would make with our job, and budgeted other things into like food, and gas.

Yesterday, we look at future technology. I look at a car that can drive itself. I really need something like that. Also, we look at African-American inventors. I look up a Black male named Lonnie Johnson. He was the person who invented the "Super Soaker".

My time so far at Tech Ohio

When I first came here, I did not know what to expect. I have never heard of Lead The Way. I did not know what I would be doing, or who I would be working with. I did not know what to expect, but so far, It is not to bad.

During this past week at Lead The Way, I have learned a few things. The first thing that I have learned is that computers have alot more programs on it then I have first thought. I had only used computers to get on the internet and listen to music. I did not know that there were so many programs on the computer until our guest speaker, Steve Jacobs, came yesterday. He really showed us that there were alot more programs.

He showed us alot of new programs that I have never seen or heard of before. One of the programs were called Dreamlines. If you type in the name of something, it draws it using lines. Also, he showed us a program called Skype. Skype is a music program that when u look at a artist, it shows who influenced this person, and who this person has influenced.

Also this past week, I met my instructors for this program. I do not think that I will have any problems with them this summer. All of my instructors have treated me with respect and have not disrespected me. Also, they make the program interesting and hopefully fun!!
